About this item

  • Twelve years of professional catalog work. Listing creation, optimization and SEO, store setup, and audits, for solo sellers on one channel and international brands on six.
  • Seven marketplaces, each written for its own rules. Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, TikTok Shop, and Faire. What ranks on Amazon is not what converts on Faire, and the copy should know the difference.
  • Growth I can point to. Led multi-channel growth at YuMe Toys across five channels; one email campaign program there lifted sales 33%.
  • AI since before it was standard. Six years as an AI consultant with TELUS International improving Google Shopping results, and now daily for copy, SEO descriptions, and image production.
  • Solo operation. Every project is me, start to finish. No account managers, no subcontracted work.

01About

Selling online has been most of my working life.

I'm Bobby. I've been selling online since before it was a job title, and professionally for the last twelve years, across every stage of a product's life: selection and sourcing, launch, listing, promotion, forecasting, and eventually retirement. Solo sellers running one channel, and international brands running six.

Most recently I led multi-channel growth at YuMe Toys across Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart, and Faire: listing optimization, pricing, promotional calendars, and end-to-end launches coordinated with marketing, logistics, creative, and licensing. Since then I've been doing hands-on listing work in WooCommerce (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and opening Amazon FBM and FBA channels for a specialty retailer.

AI makes catalog work faster. It doesn't replace knowing what a good listing looks like, which is most of why it works for me and not for everyone. I've used it in this field since before it was standard, and I use it every day now.

Fuller background on LinkedIn. I also built CheckoutGrade, a free Shopify checkout audit, if you want a sense of how I think before you email me.

02What I do

Four ways to work together, each quoted on what it actually needs.

  1. 01

    Listing creation

Titles, bullets, descriptions, attributes, and backend keywords, written for each channel's rules instead of pasted between them. New products, built right the first time.

  2. 02

    Optimization & SEO

Keyword research against what buyers actually search, then a rewrite that uses it. I'll tell you which listings are worth the effort and which ones are fine; not every SKU deserves the same attention.

  3. 03

    Store setup

Account and catalog structure, categories, variants, shipping and returns settings, and the thousand small configuration choices that are painful to undo later. Set up once, properly, instead of migrated twice.

  4. 04

    Audits & consulting

A read of your catalog and a prioritized list of what to fix, in order of what it's costing you. Useful on its own if you have a team who can act on it, and a sensible first step if you're not sure what you need yet.

No price list. Catalogs differ too much for one to be honest. Tell me what you have and you'll get a number, not a brochure.

03Channels

Seven channels, seven sets of rules.

Selling in more than one place means writing for more than one set of rules. Character limits, category trees, image requirements, and what the search algorithm rewards all differ, and a listing ported straight across usually underperforms in its new home.

  • Amazon
  • Walmart
  • eBay
  • Shopify
  • WooCommerce
  • TikTok Shop
  • Faire
Amazon
Search terms live in the backend, titles have a policy, and A+ content is where the story goes. The bullets do the selling.
Walmart
Content quality scores gate visibility. Attributes matter as much as copy.
eBay
Item specifics drive search more than the description does. Fill them all in, honestly.
Shopify
Your own domain, so SEO is yours to win or lose. Collections and theme structure are part of the listing.
WooCommerce
WordPress underneath, which means real control and real ways to break things. Product data and page speed both count.
TikTok Shop
The video sells; the listing has to close. Short, plain, and fast to scan.
Faire
You're writing for a retail buyer, not a consumer. Case packs, margins, and lead times belong in the copy.

Working on a channel that isn't listed? Ask. The principles travel.

04The Playbook

Digital download · Coming soon

Twelve years of listing work, written down.

How to write a listing for each of the seven channels: what each one rewards, what it quietly penalizes, and a template for each that you can fill in without me. The same method I use on client catalogs, for people who'd rather do it themselves.

  • Seven channel chapters. Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, TikTok Shop, Faire: the rules that differ and why they differ.
  • A template per channel. Title, bullets, description, attributes, backend terms, in the order each platform actually reads them.
  • The audit checklist. The same pass I run on client catalogs, so you can run it on yours first.
  • What to do with AI, and what not to. The prompts and the guardrails I use every day.

I'm writing it now. The people on the list hear first, and hear about the price first.

05Newsletter

Listing Notes.

What changed on the marketplaces this month, and what to do about it. Short, occasional, written by me. No sponsors, no roundups of other people's posts.

It's an email to me: send the word subscribe and you're on the list. Leave the same way, any time.

06Contact

Ask for a quote, or send a role.

Email is best. For project work, tell me what you sell, where you sell it, and roughly how many products: that's enough for me to come back with a real answer instead of a discovery call. For a role, send the posting or a short description of what you're looking for.

Pricing on request, quoted per project. Full work history on LinkedIn.
